Uptime monitoring tools worth running in 2026

Probe from outside the guest. Name and status are enough for a public board.

If the only monitor is a process on the VPS, a kernel panic looks like a quiet night. Use an external checker.

UptimeRobot, Better Stack, Pingdom, and similar services ping HTTP, TCP, or ICMP from several networks. Watch the app URL, not only the hypervisor. Alert on Discord or email. Keep the public status page free of IPs.

Noble VPS /status is built to list those monitors by friendly name and state. Pair that with disk and RAM alerts inside the guest so you catch "up but dying" before customers do.
