How to rebuild a server

A rebuild wipes the disk and installs a fresh image. Back up anything you need first. Noble VPS cannot recover files after a rebuild.

In the client area

Open the VPS in dash.noblevps.com. Look for the rebuild or reinstall action on that service. Pick the operating system you want and confirm.

After it finishes

Wait for the service to show Active again. The IP usually stays the same. The administrator or root password is reissued — copy it from the service page before you try to log in.

If the button is missing

Open a ticket with the service ID and the OS you want. Do not rebuild from inside the guest if you only meant to reboot.
