Windows
Windows VPS stops at random
Usually a licensing clock, Windows Update reboot, or a full disk — not a haunted hypervisor.
If a Windows guest powers off by itself, check the guest before blaming the host.
Evaluation expired
This is the most common cause of a Windows guest that powers itself off.
slmgr /dlvIf the eval ended, rearm or apply a key.
Updates
Windows Update can reboot overnight. Change active hours or install updates yourself in a maintenance window.
Disk full
A filled C: volume makes services fail and sometimes look like a crash. Clean logs, pagefile, and user profiles.
Memory
If RAM is exhausted the guest will thrash and RDP will drop. Upgrade the plan or close leaky processes.
Still unexplained
Grab Event Viewer System log around the timestamp and attach it to a ticket with the service ID.
